Duties and responsibilities:

The role involves working both on the front-end and the back-end of a number of websites of the company and sister companies; updating, improving, and implementing new tools and solutions, creating landing pages, and supporting copywriters.

Based on the CEO’s medium and long-term aims you will work on a variety of national and international websites for the company and sister companies. You will define, plan and then implement the strategy, project and solutions to achieve those aims and targets.

As part of your role you will define, plan and implement the full SEO medium and long-term strategy for all websites of the company and sister companies

You will report regularly on status and progress of organic ranking. You will work on and implement solutions to track and improve conversions.

You must be able to liaise on different levels with different departments of the company and external stakeholders: technical, non-technical; designers, administrators, directors, sales; clients, suppliers, technical support.

Able to self-manage time and workload, highly organised. Able to multitask and provide realistic estimates for tasks/projects completion.

You will be creative as well as analytical. Able to create reports, presentations in an easy-to-understand way. Able to report properly and regularly on projects status/progressions.

Self-learner and capable of forward-thinking: you will research and apply long-term, long-lasting as well as flexible solutions.

Able to follow indications, procedures, policies as well as improve and define new ones. Able to write technical documentation and procedures.

You have attention to detail, but are also able to prioritise. You are keen to deliver high quality standards in your work as well as to the company’s clients.

Decisional, able to take over problems and proactively find solutions.

Graphic design skills would be advantageous.

Requirements:

• W3C standard XHTML/HTML/CSS
• Javascript/jQuery
• PHP/MySQL, phpMyadmin
• Adobe Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
• Able to handcode XHTML, HTML, CSS and PHP code.
• An understanding of cross-browser issues and solutions
• An understanding of Accessibility and UX principles
• Good design skills
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Able to work with both Mac and Windows PCs
• White hat on/off-site SEO techniques
• Aware of security issues and potential threats of different systems and technologies
• Experience with WordPress: customisation, installation, updates, management.
• An understanding of ethical link/relationship building techniques

Desirable/Preferred:

• Experience with graphics for printing and CMYK colours
• Experience with PHP/MySQL based CMS (Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, others)
• A technical IT background would be advantageous
• Broad knowledge of different technologies, operating systems and software
• Configuration and management of Social Media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, others)
• Experience with email templates
• Experience in front-end development of iPad/iPhone compatible websites
• AJAX
• Some experience with online Payment systems (PayPal, SagePay or similar)
• ActionScript3
• Any experience with video editing for YouTube
• Any experience with Objective-C for iPad
