MUTV, Manchester United’s official TV Channel, are kicking off a multi-channel outdoor advertising campaign across the North West.
MUTV are encouraging fans to join the Reds on Tour 2012 with access to live coverage of every match and exclusive interviews from the MUTV studios at Old Trafford and Carrington.
Out of Home International & Transport Media handled the media planning and buying of the Outdoor advertising to encourage increased subscriptions to the channel and awareness of MUTV. Channel executives wish to market the channel more widely to increase brand awareness of MUTV so fans of Manchester United are aware of the channel available on Sky, Virgin and UPC (Ireland).
The advertising will reach MUTV’s target audience by advertising at bustling transport and shopping hubs in City Centres and urban areas, promoting MUTV to consumers when simply engaged in their day to day activities.
The campaign consists of advertising on Manchester’s Metrolink network, roadside six sheets, striking taxi adverts and bus advertising which will dominate the city streets across Manchester, transporting the ‘We are United’ message across the cities and into the minds of the consumer.
