Taxi Advertising - Ambassador Drivers

Transport Media proudly make full use of both taxi advertising space and driver-customer interaction to create an interactive, high impact advertising campaign. Transport Media was the first Outdoor advertising company in the UK to introduce the Ambassador Driver, and have had multiple successes employing this marketing technique.

Not only do we offer interactive training for all drivers but they are also handpicked to ensure they represent your brand to the highest level possible. Here at transport media we pride ourselves on our bespoke service, individual to each client, which includes the specific selection of both taxis and their drivers based on their compatibility with the clients image and campaign needs.

Client brief - Beefeater Gin

Beefeater Gin wanted their taxi drivers to not only be enthusiastic about the product their taxis would be promoting, but also be knowledgeable enough to answer clients questions, and share their experiences with the passenger. Beefeater invited the cab drivers, along with a few members of the Transport Media team to partake in a Gin tasting session, allowing them to experience firsthand the superior taste of Beefeater London Gin. The Beefeater Experience Day involved the taxi drivers attending the factory and learning all about each individual ingredient in the gin to the distillation process through to bottling the product. All visitors then completed the taste test, Beefeater versus six other gins and were asked to describe the difference in taste and flavour for each Gin. They also completed a blind taste test for their favourite Gin, of course Beefeater came out on top. At the end of the day, each driver was given a quiz to test their knowledge from their day at the distillery, the driver that came out on top won a Beefeater miniature cab.

Transport Media's Role

Transport Media interviewed cab drivers and chose them based on their interests in the product, as well as their approachability and personality. In a situation like this one, Beefeater's efforts to educate the cab drivers would go un-noticed by passengers if the cab driver was not interested in conversing with the passenger, passing on their new found information and enthusiasm about the product.

Results

Beefeater Gin now have 42 branded taxis throughout London all with brand ambassadors for their product. Their extensive knowledge is translated to passengers in London and also for the many VIPS that use the branded cabs at events across the capital. Beefeater Gin will have an OTS* of well over 27 million people and their cabs would have carried over 2.5 million passengers.

Client brief - Knowsley Safari Park

Client requested several liveried cabs to travel the surrounding areas of Knowsley safari park. The park wanted all cab drivers to be fun loving people who would be happy to experience a true day at the zoo. Knowsley safari park wanted the cab experience to be representative of the Knowsley park experience. When people comment on their cab they would be able to explain comprehensively what the safari park has to offer.

Transport Media's Role

Transport Media interviewed several drivers from their extensive database and chose only family-orientated, fun loving drivers for this campaign. We chose cab drivers strategically, not only based on personality, but also their general location. All cab drivers chosen were within a 10 mile radius of the safari park which allowed this campaign to have several different key locations surrounding the park.

Results

Knowsley safari Park will have an OTS* well over 15 million people and their cabs would have carried well over 250,000 passengers.
